Welcome to the Web site of the West End Ceili Dancers

The West End Irish American Association sponsors adult dance classes in ceili and set dancing every Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Gilbert, PA 18331.  The hall is located at the corner of Route 209 and Fairgrounds Road.  Classes are taught by Jean and Mike Cunningham.

Traditional Irish social dancing is easy and fun.  It is not necessary to be Irish or to have a partner to attend.  New members are always welcome.  Classes are limited to adults or teens over the age of 13 accompanied by an adult member of the class.

Mailing address:  West End Irish American Association, P O Box 706, Brodheadsville, PA  18322.

Directions:

From Route 33 North:  Take the Saylorsburg exit, turn right at exit; turn right at next stop sign onto Old Route 115.  Continue 2.5 miles to traffic light; turn left onto Route 209 South.  Follow Route 209 South for 2.5 miles.  The American Legion is on the left, directly past Our Lady Queen of Peace Church.  There is a large Army tank in the front of the property.

From Route 33 South:  Take the Lehighton exit toward Brodheadsville (Route 209).  Continue on Route 209 South for a number of miles.  After the third traffic light, look for the American Legion hall on the left.

From PA Turnpike North:  Take exit 74 (Lehighton/Stroudsburg).  Take Route 209 North for about 13 miles to American Legion hall.

From New Jersey:  Take Interstate 80 West to Route 33 South, then follow above directions for Route 33 South.
